The UFC president Dana White has had a rough start to the new year. While the slapping incident involving his wife seems to be old news now people are still taking a dig at him online, including his own fighters.
It is worth noting that Dana White has often been criticized for fighter pay. Moreover, many UFC stars have also expressed their disappointment in not being paid enough. The same happened recently when a middleweight contender demanded a hefty sum of money for a fight on Twitter in an unusual way.
What did the UFC contender say to Dana White?
UFC middleweight contender Paulo Costa recently took to Twitter to post a meme related to his negotiations with the UFC president Dana White. The Brazilian demanded $1 million for a fight against Robert Whittaker. However, in the meme, White can be seen only offering $70k for the fight.

It is worth noting that Paulo Costa was supposed to take on Robert Whittaker at the UFC 284 card in Australia. Moreover, the fight was officially announced by the UFC as well.
However, the fight was later canceled. It happened because the negotiations of the fight fell apart. And Costa seemingly wanted way more than what the UFC was willing to offer.
Paulo Costa might be on his way out of the UFC
At one point, the Brazilian was considered to be one of the best in his weight division. However, he hasn’t been the same following his loss to Israel Adesanya.
He is 1 win and 1 loss. Also had a lot of disputes with the UFC since then. Moreover, Costa has just one fight left in his current contract. While the MMA promotion has offered him multiple deals at this point, he is yet to agree and extend his contract.
