Alexander Volkanovski goes two-up over Max Holloway, Still the Featherweight Champion, UFC 251
In the Co-main event of UFC 251, Alexander Volanovski (c) and Max Holloway met again after UFC 245. Alexander Volkanovski retains his Featherweight title.
These two professional fighters displayed a great spectacle of combat fighting at UFC 245, where Volkanovski’s hand was ultimately raised. And this time as well the Australian registered victory via a split decision.
What Happened in the Match?
The match took time to pick-up, and it was a slow burner till the end of the 2nd round. Max Holloway looked solid from the get go, and cornered his opponent several times. In the process he also landed many punches and kicks at the intended target, but Volkanovski stayed up.

Max Holloway’s height advantage was noticeable, as till the 4th round Alexander Volkanovski was too cautious to go close to him. But it was one way after that, as the 31-year old dominated Holloway in the last two rounds. In the end just like their previous encounter, where there was no KO, TKO, or submission, the winner was decided by the judges. And after 5 remarkable rounds it was Alexander Volkanovski who emerged as the victor.

However some reactions were not corroborative of the decision,
Fuck this sport
Max won that. Volko failed 5 or 6 takedowns and the 2 he succeeded with Max stood straight up. Max Knocked him down several times and won the first 3 rounds with his higher output. It was 3-2 Max.
