“I’m coming off of fighting three former world champions and I just beat the best wrestler in the division,” Pena said after her fight. “I have some news, Amanda Nunes, I want to fight you. This girl is fighting a girl who only has three wins. Nobody has had a tougher road in the UFC except for me and I want to fight Amanda. It’s time for her to quit ducking, that’s my fight.”

Amanda Nunes did not take too long to respond to the Venezuelan Vixen.

“Ducking? You couldn’t even make yourself a contender for me,” Nunes wrote on Twitter immediately.

“Remember that one time you guys were supposed to fight, but then she lost?” the Brazilian’s wife Nina Ansaroff commented.

“Twice,” Nunes replied.

Amanda Nunes is scheduled to defend her featherweight title against Megan Anderson at UFC 259 on March 6. Her last fight took place at UFC 250 where she successfully defended her Bantamweight title against Felicia Spencer.

She is currently on an 11 match streak. Pena on the other hand, has had mixed results with 2 wins and 2 losses in her last 4 matches. Pena may think that her win tonight was enough to land her the biggest fight available to her. However, judging from Nunes’ response. It seems that it may be a while before this fight ever takes place.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
