The action will return at Fight Island as Dana White stamps it as the venue for the first three events of 2021.
Dana White has confirmed that 2021 will kick-start with a third stint at the Fight Island, Abu Dhabi. Apparently, a total of 3 events will be held in 8 days, from January 16 to January 23, a week that is touted as the International Fight Week.
On January 16, Max Holloway and Kalvin Kattar will headline the event, Khamzat Chimaev Vs. Leon Edwards gets the January 20 slot, and on 23rd the sport’s pre-eminent fighter Conor McGregor will make his appearance in the Octagon for the first time in 12 months. He will share the ring alongside Dustin Poirier and together they will perform at the main event the year’s first Pay-Per-View UFC 257.

UFC Fight Island In Brief
The doors of Flash Forum opened with the conduct of UFC 251. The event turned out to become the 2nd most successful PPV show of 2020 with a total of 1.3 million buys. Then a series of weekly fight nights solidified the venue’s position in the premier spots.
Subsequently, two of the biggest fight cards of the year (UFC 253 & UFC 254), which featured the undisputed Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, the Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and their opponents for the occasion the No.1 contenders Justin Gaethje and Paulo Costa, also took place at the Fight Island.
All three aforementioned marquee events are among the top-5 gainers of the year. So, with 2021 approaching, UFC and Dana White have defined the path for the third excursion to the place. And since Conor McGregor, who is the subject of 2020’s most successful event UFC 246, the profit numbers would certainly soar.
