Despite Respecting Dwayne Johnson, Dana White Once Revealed Why He Will Never Be Like ‘The Rock’: “I’m Never Going to…”

Dwayne Johnson is one of the most respected figures in combat sports. He has won the hearts of the fans with his ‘electric performance’ inside the WWE ring. Afterward, he went on to have a stellar career in Hollywood as well. Many fans and entities across different realm respect Dwayne Johnson and aspire to be like him. Johnson is not only a phenomenon entertainer but also an astute businessman. ‘The Rock’ loves UFC and MMA. Thus, in spite of not being able to participate in UFC, he made sure that he was able to crack a footwear deal with UFC. Dana White also admires and is a big fan of Dwayne Johnson. However, he once cited a reason why he will be like ‘The Rock’.

Dwayne Johnson has been a part of the UFC from a promotional and business standpoint. Johnson presented the inaugural BMF belt to Jorge Masvidal when he won against Nate Diaz. What’s more, he has been present to watch a lot of UFC fights, even when Brock Lesnar used to compete in the organization.

However, White claims that he can’t be like such an iconic person. The 54-year-old UFC president has maintained a stellar physique over the year and showed how disciplined he is. Although, there are certain things that he isn’t willing to do.

Dana White revealed why he can never be like Dwayne Johnson

The UFC head honcho closely follows everything that The Rock does. Due to his well-maintained physique, White was the perfect guest for Men’s Health YouTube video. During the video, White revealed despite respecting Dwayne Johnson he can never be like him.

White said, “If you look at ‘The Rock’, he religiously works out everyday. And when he’s getting ready for these movie roles, guy’s 50-years-old. The dieting that this guy does is phenomenal. I watch everything he does, and I respect it, but I know I’m never going to do it.

This speaks about the admiration White has for Johnson. However, he knows his limitations and the points where he doesn’t want to push himself. Moreover, White also once helped ‘The Rock’ in a massive $15 million deal.

White helped ‘The Rock’ with XFL deal

XFL provides a platform for athletes who were not able to make it to NFL. Dwayne Johnson is a part of the XFL management and ownership. Dana White helped him with the deal as he disclosed about it in an interview with TMZ.

White said, “If I was the Rock, I’d get that rolling as fast as I could. I’d try to get that on TV ASAP. I guarantee there’s a ton of networks that’ll do it, that’ll give it a try right now. They’re dying for live sports programming. I’m actually going to call [The Rock] today and walk him through what I think he needs to do on the COVID side of this thing, and I have some ideas for him. He’s a guy that will actually f***ing listen to me.”

White is himself quite an accomplished businessman. He took on UFC from a troubled and unstable organization to one of the most profitable combat sports organizations in the world. Similarly, Dwayne Johnson will also be looking to take his XFL promotion to new heights and if he ever needs any help, the UFC President will always be there.
