While it was a Lightweight contest but, but the entire MMA fraternity had its eyes set on the event and now it is in the books it seems every imminent member of the circuit has a reaction to put forth about the recently culminated Conor McGregor Vs. Dustin Poirier fight. In the wake of that, the No.1 contender for the Welterweight title, Gilbert Burns has come forward to express his views on the result of the UFC 257 headliner.

Burns, who will headline UFC 258 along with Kamaru Usman, is currently the focal point of media interactions, and in one of them with ESPN’s Marc Raimondi, Durinho was asked to give his views on Dustin Poirier’s TKO win over Conor McGregor.

Gilbert Burns has a YouTube channel of his own and on the day of UFC 257, he did present his analysis using the platform. But, in another one of the sort, this time with ESPN, Burns shared his opinion on why McGregor lost.

According to Burns, Conor McGregor’s change in attitude played a crucial role in his defeat and implied that he needs to channelize his old self in order to create the go back to winning ways.

“Conor wasn’t moving the way he’s moving.” Burns said. Conor wasn’t with the presence that you see. Guy has crazy presence the pressure. And I don’t know if that might played a little bit with no mind games, being super nice. I don’t know, I want the bad Conor back.

“I love it that you know the sportsman spirit everyone being respectful but I like it. But, I like the drama show too. I like he’s talking today all you three guys, I beat all you three and I miss that you know, I miss that drum. I miss that Conor. And I think that have helped Conor to perform and I think we missed that little bit.

“I do believe he was trying hard too hard to be nice, that might be because his son was there. He wanted to show a different side. I don’t know but he lost the swag and he lost the zone when he was in there.”
