“Fair Play”: Conor McGregor Reacts to KSI’s Second-Round Knockout Win Over Joe Fournier
In an unexpected turn of events, Conor McGregor has voiced his support for popular YouTuber-turned-boxer KSI’s recent victory against Joe Fournier. The bout took place at London’s magnificent Wembley Stadium last weekend. McGregor, known for his outspoken demeanor and violent rivalries, turned to social media to provide unexpected support for the British sensation’s second-round knockout triumph. The Irish fighter’s surprising praise of KSI has gardened huge attention from the fight fans.
‘The Notorious’ has never shown his interest in such exhibition fights involving YouTubers. He once even refused to comment on one of Jake Paul’s fights. However, the Irish star changed tunes for KSI.
Conor McGregor praises KSI
KSI appeared confident in the build-up to the bout. He got off to a terrific start after the bell and landed a powerful strike in the second that dropped Fournier to the mats. Many think that KSI hit Fournier with an illegal elbow, causing him to lose.
‘The Notorious’, on the other hand, had a different viewpoint. He congratulated the YouTuber turned boxer for his fair play on his official Twitter account. He also mentioned that he enjoyed the boxing event.
McGregor wrote:
“I seen it, I liked it. He goin’, fair play, KSI.”

McGregor’s recognition of KSI’s skills and dedication demonstrates his admiration for the craft of boxing itself. Even he himself has tested his boxing skills against one of the greatest boxers, of all time, Floyd Mayweather. However, the UFC superstar lost via KO/TKO.
It was one of the most successful events in the history of combat sports. Thus, a rematch was always in talks. But it is yet to come to fruition. Meanwhile, McGregor is preparing for his big UFC return.
Things are heating between McGregor and Michael Chandler
Conor McGregor is returning to the UFC cage after almost two years of hiatus after the leg break. UFC earlier this year announced that he will headline a pay-per-view layer in 2023 against Michael Chandler.
Before their fight, the two have completed the filming of the ‘TUF Season 31.’ It will release this May. However, the snippets from the show have gone viral on social media, in which McGregor can be seen pushing Chandler.
Following that, the two have exchanged jabs with each other on the internet. Thus, it is easy to say that the things between them are heating up. The building rivalry will surely add significance to the fight.
Are you guys excited about McGregor vs. Chandler? What do you guys think about McGregor’s word for KSI?
