Israel Adesanya Vs. Paulo Costa Along With UFC 253 is Shifted to September 26
Israel Adesanya Vs. Paulo Costa, which is the headliner of UFC 253, is now sifted to September 26. Colby Covington Vs. Tyron Woodley set to become the main event for the September 19 Fight Night.
After some early speculations, on August 15, UFC confirmed that Israel Adesanya will defend his Middleweight title against Paulo Costa on September 26, a week later than the previous set date. With the fight the entire Pay-Per-View event i.e., UFC 253 is now scheduled for September 26.
It is a much anticipated bout, and in the post event press address of UFC 252, Dana White claimed that he believes, this fight will end up being the fight of the year. Meanwhile, new main event is yet to be confirmed for September 19, however, Colby Covington and Tyron Woodley, have announced via Social Media, that they would be facing each other on September 19.

Dana White in the very same post event press address also stated that, it is pretty much going to be the main event of the September 19 event. However, the authorities are yet to make it official. If the match-up indeed gets fixed, then years of making will finally put to fruition. Since 2017, efforts are being made to make the fight happen, and it looks like the match will soon get the imprint.
