After several futile call outs and sitting reserve for the main event of UFC 254, Michael Chandler is finally on the cusp of becoming a part of a fight card.
According to reports, Michael Chandler is set to make his UFC debut on January 23 at UFC 257 and apparently will be up-against the No.6 ranked Lightweight Dan Hooker.

Since less than a month is remaining for the first Pay-Per-View of 2021 to arrive, therefore, in the wake of that the chances of this fight becoming a part of the fight sheet is getting bleak. However, if the fight is indeed targeted and both fighters have given their nod, then if not with UFC 257 then with the succeeding PPV the fight may get attached.
Michael Chandler Vs. Dan Hooker: Who Will Be The Favourite To Win?
Michael Chandler is a former Bellator Lightweight champion, therefore, the audience of the biggest MMA promotion is eager to witness what the Iron can offer. And the fact that there will be a worthy opponent on the opposite end, would give this match a much-anticipated tag.
Dan Hooker last stepped inside the Octagon in June, where he faced Dustin Poirier after an intense build-up. The fight went on to become the fight of the night and is seen as one of the prospects for the fight of the year. However, the Hangman fell short against the Diamond that night.
So, if the fight materializes, then both fighters will have a point to prove, therefore, it will be difficult to assess who will carry the upper hand. But having held a title before Michael Chandler may become the betting favorite.
