Conor McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh apparently revealed the gameplan of the fighter before UFC.
UFC 257 is only a couple of days away and in the wake of that both participants of the headliner fight Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier cut out a confident figure in the official press conference.
Irrespective of what happens before the match, it is a reality that on the day only one will prevail, and except for the in-fight adjustments the differentiating factor that plays a crucial role in getting an edge is an apt strategy.
When it comes to strategy, the fighters are classified into two kinds, there are ones who do not hesitate in telling what they intend to produce and then the others who do not. But, when a pay-per-view event like UFC 257 is in the sight on which the whole world has eyes set on, it is apparently better to keep the cards close to the chest.
However, there are exceptions and there also exists a chance of a blunder, which seemingly happened in this case.
Conor McGregor’s coach accidentally leaks gameplan for UFC 257
On Wednesday, in an interview with ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, Conor McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh gave a breakdown of Conor McGregor Vs. Dustin Poirier, and in the flow he apparently leaked some intricate details which he evidently did not want to share.
In the chat, Kavanagh talked about how the hindsight will look like, and in the stretch said, “Myself and Conor kind of joked the part you look forward to it’s kind of weird is that the fight will be over we’ll be back on the super yacht
“We’ll be heading to Dubai and we’ll all be sitting around staring at our phones watching the highlights back watching the fight back and he’ll be pulling it apart but also enjoying it enjoying the techniques, sequences let’s see some of the predictions we made amongst ourselves about what will be damaging shots. Would training mostly in orthodox plans for the whole camp have paid off?”
Kavanagh did not want this part on the tapping, therefore he requested Helwani to delete the part from the final cut.
“Yeah take that away take it away, um can you cut that out?”
At the time Helwani nodded to the request but, the part is visible in the clip.
