UFC To Return To Fight Island: Two Marquee Events Will Take Place This Time
UFC to return to Fight Island, and this time two key marquee events are scheduled at the coveted venue.
After a wonderful first stint at Abu Dhabi, UFC is set to return to Flash Forum, and evidently a handful of shows are planned and will be carried forward. Fight Island was a dream project of none other than Dana White himself, and though its foundation was laid on the grounds of necessity, but now apparently it has taken the form of a dwelling, where the UFC can reach and operate from, at its will.
UFC 251 (July) was the inaugural event, and that received a record buyouts. The following fight nights (UFC Fight Island 1, 2, 3) also furthered the popularity of the venue. And afterwards UFC returned to its prime location of Vegas. However, the sources state, UFC is heading back to Yas Island, and will set its foot on the desert in September itself.
How Many Events Will Take Place Place This Time?
UFC Plans on hosting a total of 5 events this time, and will start with UFC 253, and culminate with UFC 254. Between 253 and 254 there will be three fight night events.
So, an entire month of action will betide in the middle east. Moreover, some of the biggest fights of the year viz. Israel Adesanya Vs. Paulo Costa for the Middleweight Title, and Khabib Nurmagomedov Vs. Justin Gaethje for the Lightweight Championship, are set to soar the temperature even more.
