Valorant Bind locations and callout guide

A picture displaying the map of Bind in Valorant.

Bind can be confusing for many beginner Valorant players as it uses teleporters as a key mechanic. Thus a player can move from one position to the other in the blink of an eye. Here are some of the key callouts to know on each site:

On A site: Showers, Truck, Heaven, A Short, U Hall, and Pillar.

On B site: Hookah, Hookah window, Elbow, Hall, Cubby, B Long, and Garden.

About attacking on Bind

When attacking, it is crucial to have the right mix of Agents when playing Valorant and the same applies while playing on Bind. It is recommended to have at least one Duelist, and Initiator in a team mix. This will allow steady attacks into sites and push defenders back if done correctly. Since there are two sites on the map, different approaches are required accordingly.

How to attack A Site

Strategy 1: Fake B Long and make A Short Push (Medium Execution/ Slightly Risky)

You can also lose pressure by faking a push towards B Site through B Main or Long. To excuse this, keep one player on standby on A Link to watch for flanks, one player in A Lobby (possibly a smoke Agent), and another player near A Port Exit who will look for flanks coming from Showers/Bath. With the standby setup done, two players need to make a push from B Long and make some action to let players on B Site think your team will commit to B Site.

However, after reaching near B Garden and making some sounds for around 15-20 seconds, after that, use the B Teleporter and make your way to the other side of the Bind. When exiting A Port Exit, you’ll one person to cover your safe exit and commit for a quick A Short Push. Make sure you put down the smokes as soon as players exit from Teleporter and push towards Showers/Bath.

Strategy 2: Flank from B and take A Site with force (Hardcore Execution/ Risky but rewarding)

Keep three players on standby, two on A Short and one near Showers, while rest two will push from B Hookah. As soon as players start to push towards B Hookah by walking, start your attack from A Showers and Short but don’t commit to the site just yet, this will make players on B Site rotate towards A, that’s when players on B Hookah can catch opponents off guard. Once these two players on B Site make their way toward A Heaven, fallback just a bit from B Short making the rest of the players on A think you’ll go to the B Site.

However, after these two players almost reach A Heaven, and commit again together all at once to create a ruckus on the enemy team. This would be your checkmate move as all the opponents will have no option to switch positions and go for gunfights from wherever they are. For example, the player on Heaven will be crossed from both A Heaven Ramps, Showers, and A Short. One of the friendlies can also enter from Vent, to clear off U Hall alongside players from A Short.

Where to plant Spike on A Site?

If you get an easy entry through A Short, the quickest way to plant is in front of the Truck. As it will give your cover from A Heaven, cuts off vision from U Hall as well. However, it keeps your position open from Bath. Your teammate can stay in that position to swing by and catch opponents off guard.

Additionally, planting near A Truck also allows teammates to take control from A Short and U Hall as well, making opponents confused about their whereabouts. Teammates can also wall off the passage between Triple Boxes and Truck, to force opponents to come from either U Hall or from Bath side.

If you gain control of A Site from Baths and Spike is present, planting on A Boxes is the quickest and safest way to plant. It cuts off vision from A Heaven and A Short, thus opponents in the site have to move closer to boxes to take you down. At that moment, your teammates can give you support from A Short and Bath, to protect the Spike till the end.

How to attack B Site

Strategy 1: Hookah Push (Easy Execution/ Low Risk)

The B Site on Bind also has two main entry points like most Valorant maps, one through Hookah and another from B Long. Going through Hookah is one of the safest path to take when approaching the B Site. To execute this, Keep two players at B Link/Market and three players near A Lobby. When the round starts, one play from A Lobby will have to make their way to support players on B Link, while rest two will push B Long.

This will allow three players to approach B Short from two different angles. One player can look at B Port Exit, while two can look towards Hookah, while this happens two players can start creating havoc in B Site. Upon clearing these two key areas proceed to check Elbow and B Hall around B Site to eliminate threats and go for a safe Spike plant.

Strategy 2: Surround Hookah and push B from both sides (Medium Execution/ Slightly Risky)

This is a more concrete way to approach Hookah and then enter B Site through the window. To execute this, keep one player in B Link/Market, two players near B Long, and two players near A Short. Once the round starts, smoke-off vision of opponents to allow safe entry of a player through A Teleporter, while one will remain near A Short to eliminate players approaching A Teleporter.

Once the player enters the B Port Exit, allow for a coordinated push towards B Site altogether from both Market and B Long. This will allow two players to approach Hookah together from different angles, and maybe also peek at the same target together if done right. While that happens, players from B Long can create pressure on other players in B Site. This will force players on A Site to rotate to B Site. The player on A Short standby can go through the A Teleporter to join other players to B Site quickly and get full control of B Site.

The standby player also has the option to fall back and go toward Hookah through Market. This will allow the players to cut off flanks and maybe also take down opponents using A Teleporter to go towards Hookah. However, the only downside is, this approach is slower and timing is crucial.

Where to plant Spike on B Site?

If you get a quick entry to B Site through B Long and have Hookah control, it is best to go for this plant as you are covered from two major angles. Additionally, it allows you to defend the Spike from multiple angles like Elbow, B Garden, and Hookah Window.

In case your team loses control from Hookah or B Long, it is safer to go for a closed plant behind the big box on B Site. This will protect you from opponents from B Long and Hookah, however, you have to take care of B Hall while planting.

About defending on Bind

Defending on Bind can be of the most tedious jobs for any Valorant player due to its unpredictable map layout. To get the best outcome, it is better to realize what opponents are thinking and improvise. However, it is better to keep some setups done beforehand to create difficult times for the opponents when approaching either of the two sites on Bind.

How to defend on A Site?

When you’re prioritizing your defense on the A Site, it is better to keep at least three Agents nearby: one Sentinel, one Duelist, and one Controller or Initiator. While two players have to play on B Site passively to gain information on how many players are approaching B Site. Focusing on defending A Site doesn’t mean every player has to be present there only.

By having a Sentinel-class Agent, you can subsequently slow down the entry of players, and by coordinating with an Initiator, this approach can be strengthened. If the opponents end up rushing, try to fall back to a safer spot and then engage. This will allow the team to keep a maximum headcount and then play for a retake. Additionally try to earn as much time as possible for players on B Site to rotate back.

Make sure to approach a site by clearing out positions like, A Bath, U Hall, A Short, and Under Heaven as opponents can hide there. Try to have two players go from the same position as they can refrag each other.

>How to retake A Site?

Retaking in Valorant depends from situation to situation, and the same applies to Bind as well. If players end up Rushing from Short, expect at least one or two players in A Bath as they will be looking forward to hunting your teammate on A Heaven. Thus, ask players on B Site to use the Teleporter and quickly make their way to Showers by making their exit from A Port Exit.

Also, try to send a player on flank A Short as they will get cornered from all ends and will be forced to stay in one position around A Short. Coordinate together and take them down one by one. In the case of other approaches, try to flank the opponents as much as possible and sandwich them as much as possible.

How to defend on B Site?

If you’re prioritizing protecting B Site, the same agent classes are suggested like that for A Site defense. Keep at least one player in Hookah as they will be key to reporting players approaching from B Short. Rest two players will stick to B Site and look at opponents trying to enter from B Long.

If players find themselves in tough situations, ask them to fall back immediately to the site and play passively as much as possible. To get the best out of situations ask players on A Site to rotate or flank once the Spike position is confirmed.

Try to position yourself in positions like behind Big Box, Elbow, and Hall Door to stay protected. Staying in these positions will also allow you to monitor opponent movement and take them down accordingly. Staying in open positions can lead players to get easily eliminated, so it is better to stay in cover.

>How to retake B Site?

There might be moments when you can simply lose control of B Site while playing on Bind. However, that doesn’t mean you should give up, rather retake it. When retaking the site think from the opponent’s perspective on where they can hide. If you can read the situation correctly a retake will be easier.

Some of the most common hiding spots after the Spike plant is: Garden, B Cubby, Elbow, Window, and behind B Big Box. Make sure you check all these areas in order to safely diffuse the Spike and secure the round.

Valorant has a huge roster of playable Agents in the game and everyone has a unique set of abilities. While you are free to choose characters to your comfort, it is better to fill roles in a team that is not present. For playing on Bind, a team should consist of at least one Sentinel, two Duelists, one Initiator, and one Controller. As for Agents, the following are the best for playing on Bind.

>Duelists

  • Raze: Her grenades are extremely useful for clearing areas that can’t be reached using guns. Since Bind has plenty of these types of spots, Raze is a must-pick.
  • Jett: For players who have good mechanical skills, the Agent is perfect for the map. Additionally, her smoke-based ability can also come in handy during a lot of situations.
  • Reyna: An initial head-on fight is mandatory when playing competitively. However, it is Reyna’s flash ability that is most useful on Bind and can slow opponents down drastically.

>Initiator

  • Gekko: The latest addition to the game comes in handy in a lot of situations, especially his Wingman ability. Gekko can defuse and plant Spike from a distance while keeping on fights, which is very helpful.
  • Fade: Bind has a lot of blind spots and Fade can shine a light on every opponent hidden in a particular site. Her other abilities are also focused on hunting opponents, which makes her extremely useful.
  • Skye: Starting from healing, to hunting opponents, Skye can do it all. In case a healer is not taken in team composition, Skye can easily fill that grey spot.

> Controller

  • Brimstone: For executing plans on time and instantaneously, Brimstone’s ability set is the best. His smokes can be set up from any part of the map, which is a massive advantage. Additionally, his Orbital Strike ultimate can also buy the team crucial time as well while eliminating threats.
  • Omen: His abilities like smoking off vision, flashing, and also teleporting from one location to the other.
  • Harbor: Multiple abilities of Harbor are focused on blocking lines of slight. By breaking parts of the map into smaller segments, he can make fights easier.

>Sentinel

  • Sage: Having a healer on the team is a nice addition to team composition. However, her abilities also include abilities that can slow off opponents, which can make them vulnerable.
  • Chamber: For players who like to play aggressively, Chamber fits the right spot. Additionally, his abilities like Trademark can also slow opponents down drastically.
  • Cypher: His Trip Wires can slow opponents and give the team time to adapt accordingly.
