Valorant Chamber Nerf Details and Why it can Change Pro Play Forever

The Valorant Devs have finally announced a Chamber Nerf that makes the character a little more balanced. Details below.

Chamber’s pick rate in every mode of the game is too high, and to balance that, Riot came up with a couple of nerfs that can effectively balance out the character.

This article will discuss the patch notes and the reasoning behind why they will change the landscape of pro play for good. Let us see what Riot has done to Chamber.

Chamber Nerf Details – Valorant

Firstly, they have reduced the Spread after the Second Headhunter bullet is fired. This will reduce the accuracy of a player spamming the gun. The Teleport now only has a single anchor instead of two.

Verticle surfaces won’t be a problem as long as the Chamber is within the Range of the Teleport. They have also increased the weapon equip time after teleporting; however, the Headhunter will remain unaffected.

If a player destroys the Teleport, it will disable the Teleport for the rest of the round. However, when an Anchor is recalled, a cooldown is no longer placed on the Teleport. The Trademark Slow is now restricted with Range.

It can be recalled mid-round, however. They have increased the health and the equip time. There is a 30-second cooldown on recall. The Tour De Force Sniper Rifle now has a 57.5% fire rate reduction, and the slow from the Sniper lasts for 4 seconds instead of 6.

This changes pro play forever because players like Yay, TenZ, Mixwell, Jamppii, and Cryocells rely a lot on Chamber in terms of fragging out. They can hold an opposite site while TPing out if they are needed. This changes the power dynamic and makes teams question the unquestionable Chamber pick.

We do not know what additional changes Riot has in store for the game, but it will be interesting after a needed Chamber nerf.
