Virat Kohli comes up with a brilliant message for RCB fans

Virat Kohli and RCB have endured a tough season in the IPL this year, as the franchise has struggled to find the right team combination this year.

And not just this year, ‘team combination’ has been an issue for RCB all along. They have had top heavy sides for sometime now and haven’t been able to find that right mix of bowlers who can bowl at different stages of a match.

However, their bowling has grown in the last few games, but the batsmen have failed to deliver in crunch situations.

There has been a lack of application on part of the batsmen, something that Kohli too pointed out during the post match presentation after the loss to SRH in Hyderabad.

“It was a (tough defeat) but that is how the game goes. We deserve to lose this game. We were not good enough on the day. 60-odd runs in the first six overs and than we ended up like that. I don’t think we showed enough application. The kind of shots we played, they were not on at that stage. I think we threw it away. I think we let the opposition get back in the game. That has been the story of the season so far. The fielding was up to the mark but I think 10-15 runs less would have been ideal for us. This was a tough wicket (to bat). We should have done a better job with the ball but in the field we were up to the mark. If you have strong characters in the team you can always do well in such a tournament.” he said after the SRH defeat.

RCB still have a chance of making it to the playoffs, but they’ll need to depend on other teams to make it there.
