Virender Sehwag has been known for his social media presence post retirement as his witty tweets have often gone viral on social media.
However, yesterday after the masterful Kohli innings, Sehwag did not come up with his typical Sehwag-esque tweets, instead he came up with a statistical tweet in order to highlight the brilliance of King Kohli.
Virat Kohli had paced his innings to perfection, batting with the tail, taking a single of the 4th or 5th ball and giving them just a couple of balls(at max) to survive.
The tail did play its part, but it was Kohli who was dictating the play from the striker and non-striker end.
Virender Sehwag highlighted that in his message along with the customary message for Kohli’s brilliance.
“A brilliant hundred from Kohli. Scored more in this first innings than he did in 10 innings in 2014. Added 99 so far with Shami, Ishant and Yadav , who have scored 8 between them” Sehwag tweeted.

Virat Kohli has given the Indian side a lot of confidence with his innings, not only getting them back into the game, but also showing those other Indian batsmen in the hut, exactly how it’s done.
And with Ashwin bamboozling Cook for the 2nd time in 2 innings, India go into Day 3 on an even keel with England.
It is now upto the Indian bowlers to not let Virat Kohli’s heroics go in vain.
An exciting Day 3 awaits us.
