The newest map in Warzone 2.0 is Vondel. The information about this map was leaked by data miners a while ago. This newest map will be a Resurgence and will apparently be the same size as Ashika Island.
Warzone has been a hub for maps. The first edition got 2 maps while the second game had Al Mazrah on launch. We later got Ashika Island as a Resurgence map in Season 2. The Season 3 update brought no maps but it balanced out a ton of weapons.
A couple of months ago, we saw some leaked information about a new map coming out in Warzone 2.0 leaked by Task Force 141 Leakers. Charlie Intel followed it up by releasing an image of the map, which is now deleted due to DMCA. Let us see what we know about the leaked map in the game.

Everything We Know About the Vondel Map in Warzone 2.0
The maps in Call of Duty have always brought something to the table no matter what they are. The map interactions in Ghosts, the vastness of Warzone 2, and the fast-paced action in Black Ops. Warzone 2.0 recently faced a lot of issues, prominently the declining player base.
A lot of fans suspect Activision is introducing this map to increase the player base. This can be an answer to that issue. However, there are many others that Activision needs to address as well. That being said, let us tackle everything we know about this map so far.
4. This will be the Seventh Map in the Warzone Series
There have been 6 maps in the Warzone series as a whole. The first one was Verdansk which was released with the very first Warzone title and Season. The map was set in Kastovia and supported up to 200 players depending on the modes and playlists.
The second one was Rebirth Island and it supported up to 100 players and had the Gulag system. In addition, it was a remake of the Alcatraz Map from Blackout in Black Ops IV. Then came Caldera, which replaced Verdansk and was set in the Pacific. The last one in Warzone was Fortune’s Keep which was designed for Resurgence Mode.
Now, in Warzone 2.0 we have Al-Mazrah, the standard battle royale map, and Ashika Island, which is a Resurgence Map and came out in Season 2. Finally, we are getting the Vondel map, which will be the seventh one in the series.
3. It will be a Resurgence Map
It seems like this map will be a Resurgence Map supporting smaller players in a more compact environment. However, it might support other game modes down the line by the looks of it. It will have several POIs players should explore to get more information about the map.
The environment looks really similar to the Verdansk map in terms of the playstyle so expect gunfights of all ranges in this map. However, expect a different aesthetic and better visuals than you have ever seen before in Warzone.
2. Several POIs for the Map
The map is based on the Netherlands and we have a list of all the POIs it will have. Go to these areas to get better loot. However, expect enemies since they will have the same idea as you. Let us take a look at what the POIs are.
- Aquarium
- City Hall
- Fire Station
- Nieuwe Stadspoort
- Old Museum
- Floating House
- University
- New Museum
- Police Station
- Stadium
- Cruise Terminal
- Train Station
The interesting ones here seem to be the University and the Stadium which might be a hub for long-range gunfights so ensure that you pack a Sniper with you.
1. The Map Could Release in Season Four
Season 04 begins June 14th and will include the new Warzone map Vondel, which is set in Netherlands and is developed by Beenox, per sources. Map will have Resurgence support to start. More info to come 👀

Word around the internet is that the newest map will be coming out as soon as the Season 4 update drops. The good news is that the update is in a week or so at the time of writing. As per sources, the map is bigger than Ashika Island but comes in a little short of Al-Mazrah. The map will be a Beenox creation as you can see in the Charlie Intel Tweet above.
According to Charlie Intel, the map will also support DMZ sometime in the near future. The map could have many other similar locations to the real-life Netherlands in addition to the POIs we mentioned earlier.
For now, that is all the information we have on the map since Activision is yet to reveal more information about the map at the time of writing. For more Warzone 2 content, click here.
