In the first match between Hyderabad and Punjab this season, Punjab had successfully chased a 151-run target on the back of a 114-run stand for the second wicket between Lokesh Rahul (71*) and Mayank Agarwal (55). Kings XI would be hoping for both their batsmen and bowlers to replicate such performance against Hyderabad tomorrow.

In the two matches which KXIP and SRH played against each other in IPL 2018, both the sides ended up winning their home matches. In the first match at Mohali, Punjab opening batsman Chris Gayle had smashed his sixth IPL century, 104* (63), with the help of one four and 11 sixes, to win the match for his team.

During the second match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Kings XI Punjab pacer Ankit Rajpoot’s maiden IPL five-wicket haul (4-0-14-5) went in vain as combined effort from Sunrisers Hyderabad’s bowlers saw them successfully defend 132 runs.
