Steph Curry and the Warriors had a pretty satisfying visit to Los Angeles on MLK day, winning against a LeBron-less Lakers 130-111.

While Curry did not really set the stage on fire today, Klay Thompson rose to the occasion, hitting 10 threes off 11 attempts in a high scoring night for one half of the splash brothers.

But for his other half, the Staples Centre did not prove to be too lucky tonight.

Curry managed just 11 points in 30 minutes and then ended up hilariously slipping while trying to attempt a ‘never seen before’ dunk.

The incident happened deep into the 3rd quarter when Curry managed to intercept a Lakers pass and was free on his way to the rim.

Curry decided to take his time, and prepare himself to unleash a circus dunk, but just as he was about to take off, he slipped and provided the crowd with a good laugh.

But the misery did not end for Curry there, as he even missed his 3 point attempt during the same possession, throwing an ‘air ball’ to make matters worse.

Check out the video:

In the post game interview, Curry was asked about his dunk attempt and what exactly was he trying and what exactly transpired below the ring there.

“I was like a kid walking in the candy store with the whole half court open. I was going to try something really nice I have never tried before” he said.

“The Lord wouldn’t let me do it” he added.

Curry was definitely having an off-night, but with Thompson on fire and the Lakers not offering much of an offensive threat, the Warriors managed to get away with it.

Curry also brilliantly slated himself as a good assist provider today, bagging 12 assists.

He was consciously trying to feed the ball to Klay, who was feeling it big time today. Even when Curry was free, he multiple times asked KD and the others players to give it to Klay, as he was on fire.

The Warriors would consider themselves lucky that Curry did not injure himself during that dunk sequence, as he definitely stepped onto a wet floor there.

The Warriors have now firmly got their mojo back and look increasingly threatening going into the business half of the season, with Cousins admirably fitting into the system too.

NBA teams would be taking notice and will have to play out of their skins in order to beat the Warriors in the playoffs.
