WATCH: Ellyse Perry breaks mirror of ambulance with colossal six in Women's Big Bash League

Ellyse Perry breaks mirror of ambulance: The Sydney Sixers captain hit as many as four sixes against Hobart Hurricanes.

During the 31st match of the ongoing season of Women’s Big Bash League between Sydney Sixers Women and Hobart Hurricanes Women in Launceston, Sydney Sixers captain Ellyse Perry played a match-winning innings to propel his team to 172/2 in 20 overs.

Opening the batting with wicket-keeper Alyssa Healy (39), Perry scored an outstanding 70* (56) with the help of four fours and four sixes. Perry’s best shot had come on the last delivery of Sydney’s innings when she hit Nicola Carey for a six towards the mid-wicket region.

The colossal six saw the ball not just hitting the mirror of an ambulance but also breaking it. The video and image of the charity vehicle were uploaded on social media platform by Sydney Sixers.

Chasing a 173-run target, Hobart were bundled out for 133 in 18 overs. Hurricanes captain Corinne Hall top-scored for her team with 31 (22) with the help of four fours. With bowling figures of 2-0-5-3, Sixers’ Erin Burns was the pick of the bowlers for them.

Having won six out of eight matches in the tournament, Sydney are at No. 2 in the tournament. On the other hand, Hobart are reeling at No. 7 with only two victories in nine matches.
