This was the first time that Murray had played after his shock second round defeat in the BNP Paribas Open due to an elbow injury. Murray will now be looking to return in next week’s Monte Carlo Masters.
Murray hopes to make a complete recovery from his injury and wishes to get to back to his very best.

“I’m hoping, if I keep progressing as I have with the elbow, to play Monte Carlo,” said the Scot.
“If not, then I just need to stay patient and I’ll try the following week. I’m getting there, I just have to go slowly.”
