Krunal Pandya's Mankading warning for Mayank Agarwal

Krunal Pandya’s Mankading warning for Mayank Agarwal: Mumbai all-rounder was witnessed warning Punjab’s top-order batsman.

During the ninth match of the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League between Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians at Mohali, Mumbai Indians all-rounder Krunal Pandya was seen warning Kings XI Punjab batsman Mayank Agarwal for a potential Mankading dismissal.

It happened on the 10th over of the Punjab innings when Krunal Pandya stopped midway his run-up to indicate to Agarwal about where he should stand at the non-striker’s end. While Krunal didn’t dislodge the bails, him seeming to do the same had conveyed the message to the non-striker.

After Krunal’s gesture, Mumbai wicket-keeper Quinton de Kock and Agarwal himself were seen giggling for what had happened.

After Punjab captain Ravichandran Ashwin won the toss and put the opposition in to bat, Mumbai Indians ended up scoring 176-7 in their allotted quota of 20 overs. de Kock, who opened the batting with captain Rohit Sharma, top-scored for MI scoring 60 (39) with the help of six fours and two sixes.

Playing their first home match, Kings XI chased the total in the 19th over on the back of opening batsman Lokesh Rahul scoring his 11th IPL half-century. Seeing through the chase for his side, Rahul ended up scoring 71* (57) with the help of six fours and a six. However, it was Agarwal who was awarded the Man of the Match award for his quickfire 43 (21) with the help of four fours and two sixes.
