WATCH: MS Dhoni hits colossal six off Mitchell Starc; Virat Kohli follows it with brilliant reaction

MS Dhoni hits colossal six off Mitchell Starc: Indian wicket-keeper batsman hit the Australian spearhead for an outstanding six.

During the 14th match of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 between India and Australia at The Oval, former India captain and current wicket-keeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni hit Australia fast bowler Mitchell Starc for a colossal sic during the slog overs of the Indian innings.

It all happened on the first ball of the penultimate over. Bowling around the wicket to Dhoni, Starc bowled a full delivery on the leg-side. Firm on his crease, Dhoni hit the ball with the angle and deposited it over deep square leg for his first six of the match.

As good as the shot was, its importance increased manifold times after Kohli’s animated reaction on the same.

Coming in to bat at No. 5 in the 46th over, Dhoni shared a brisk 37-run partnership with captain Virat Kohli. Not wasting any time in getting his eye in, the veteran cricketer went against the Australian bowlers from the word go.

Before getting out in the last over, Dhoni ended up scoring 27 (14) with the help of three fours and a six. On the back of Shikhar Dhawan’s 17h ODI century and half-centuries from Kohli and his deputy Rohit Sharma, India posted a praiseworthy 352/5 in their allotted quota of 50 overs.
