Camera footage has caught Sergio Ramos allegedly asking the Real Madrid bench if he should pick a yellow card during the game against Ajax.
Real Madrid defeated Ajax 2-1 in the first leg of the Champions League’s round-of-16 tie earlier this week.
The match provided a fair share of controversy due to an Ajax goal ruled out for offside and a debatable foul on Frenkie de Jong not referred for VAR.
However, there was another incident towards the closing stages of the game which could now land Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos in trouble.
The Los Blancos’ captain was caught on tape asking his teammates and the Real Madrid bench if he should pick up a yellow card that would hand him a one-match suspension.
“Should I look for it?” Sergio Ramos asked the Real Madrid bench, according to Daily Mail. The incident happened after Real Madrid scored their second goal of the game.

Moments later, Ramos cluttered into Kasper Dolberg, successfully picking up a yellow card. The Real Madrid captain is now ruled out of the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Here’s the video:
Earlier, Sergio Ramos seemed to admit that the booking was intentional.
“Seeing the result, I’d be lying if I said no, it is something that was present in my mind and that I was thinking about,” the Spaniard said.
However, he reiterated from his comments after the game as he clarified the situation around his booking on Twitter.
“In a game, there are many tensions, many feelings and emotions and we have to make decisions in seconds,” Ramos explained.

“The best thing about today is the result and the worst is not being in the line-up with my teammates for the second leg.
“I want to make it clear that it hurts me more than anyone and I haven’t forced a booking, just as I did not against Roma in my previous game in the Champions League.
‘I will support my teammates from the stands as a fan with the dream of being in the quarter-final.”
UEFA launched an investigation into the incident on Thursday and a decision on Ramos’ further participation in the competition will be given at the end of the month.
