Shane Watson argues with Ishant Sharma and Kagiso Rabada: CSK opening batsman was involved in an on-field heated exchange.
During the fifth match of the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League between Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings at Delhi, Chennai Super Kings opening batsman Shane Watson was involved in a heated exchange with Delhi Capitals pacer-duo of Ishant Sharma and Kagiso Rabada.

Watson, who opened the batting with Ambati Rayudu, not just enticed eyeballs because of his batting but also did it in the form of his words. While the starting point of the same is unknown, Watson and Sharma were first seen going at each other at the end of the third over.
At that point in time, Watson was seen laughing off Sharma’s aggressive instincts. During the last over of the powerplay being bowled by Rabada, both him and Watson were seen at odds with each other. Eventually, it were Rabada’s teammates who pulled away the bowler.

In a bid to calm things down in the middle, Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer was witnessed as interfering in the exchange as he seemed to settle things with the former Australian all-rounder.
Brilliant innings from Watson
Before getting out, Watson gave Chennai a perfect start in a 148-run chase. Taking on the opposition bowlers, Watson ended up scoring 44 (26) with the help of four fours and three sixes. On the fourth delivery of the seventh over, it was Delhi wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant who stumped Watson off veteran leg-spinner Amit Mishra.
After Iyer won the toss and chose to bat, Delhi Capitals ended up scoring a mediocre 147-6 in their allotted quota of 20 overs. Opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan top-scored for his team with his 33rd IPL half-century. The southpaw scored 51 (47) with the help of seven fours. With bowling figures of 4-0-33-3, veteran all-rounder Dwayne Bravo was the pick of the Super Kings bowlers.
