Stewards chase Benjamin Mendy

Stewards chase Benjamin Mendy: Manchester City defeated Liverpool 2-1 on Thursday night, thus ending their unbeaten league run.

Manchester City reduced the gap with Liverpool to four points in the league table after their win at Etihad on Thursday night. Sergio Aguero and Leroy Sane scored the goals in City’s win.

The result was almost poetic as it were Liverpool who ended Manchester City’s unbeaten run in the league last season in January.

City win has blown the title race open, with Tottenham six points Liverpool, and two behind Guardiola’s side.

The match was marred with controversy surrounding goal-line technology, as well as a potential red-card tackle on Mohamed Salah by Vincent Kompany. Jurgen Klopp criticised the referee’s decision in the post-match interview.

However, at the end of the match, a rather funny incident took place on the pitch.
