During the 34th match of the ongoing ninth season of the Big Bash League between Adelaide Strikers and Melbourne Renegades in Adelaide, umpire Shawn Craig slipped right after setting the bails to register a bit of an amusing incident.
It all happened in one of the overs from Renegades all-rounder Samit Patel when Craig ran in from his position at square leg to put the bails back on the stumps.

Having done the same successfully, Craig’s attempt to back-peddle his way back to his position saw him slipping and eventually falling down on the ground.
After Strikers captain Travis Head won the toss and chose to bat, the hosts posted 173/6 in 20 overs on the back of an 80-run partnership for the fifth wicket between Jonathan Wells (58) and Matthew Short (41).

Chasing a 174-run target, Renegades were bundled out for 110 in 17.4 overs. Barring Beau Webster (49), no other Melbourne batsmen showed signs of persisting against the Adelaide’s bowling attack.
With bowling figures of 3-0-14-3, veteran Strikers pacer Peter Siddle was the pick of the bowlers for Adelaide. Apart from him, spinner Rashid Khan and Head grabbed two wickets apiece.
