What did Virat Kohli say to Anushka Sharma when they first met? The Indian skipper reveals the first thing he told Anushka in a recent interview.
Virat Kohli and Anushka are a power couple in India. Both of them come from middle class families and have gone on to soar heights many could only imagine. Rumors of them being in a relationship kept making rounds. However, neither of them ever confirmed or denied it before they finally got married in December 2017.
Virat Kohli was recently interviewed by American presenter, Graham Bensinger on his eponymous show, In Depth with Graham Bensinger. The topic of the interview was Virat Kohli’s relationship with his wife, Anushka Sharma. The Indian skipper had a glow on his face as he spoke about her.
He told Graham that the first time he met Anushka was at a promotional shoot for a shampoo commercial. He then revealed the disaster that followed as he attempted to make a joke to get around his nervousness only for it to blow up on his face.
What did Virat Kohli say to Anushka Sharma when they first met?
“The first time I met her, I cracked a joke immediately because I was very nervous. I was standing on sets and was being all nervous and jittery” Virat said.
“I thought I was being funny and I said something which wasn’t probably the right thing to say. She is tall and she was wearing heels and she was being told that I am not that tall. I am not 6 feet plus or something.”
“She walked in with heels and was looking taller than me and I was like didn’t you get a higher pair of heels?” He added.
“Then she was like ‘excuse me’ and then I was like ‘no, I am just joking’. My joke became such a weird moment. I was such a fool, to be honest but she was so confident.”
