The Los Santos Drug Wars update for GTA Online delivered a new piece of content this week. The Gun Van is a brand new storefront in GTA Online where players can get their hands on some crazy weapons. With a rotating set of weapons, players have access to discounted firearms every single week. While this bypasses level requirements at the surface, the Gun Van is so much more. Here are all the details.

The Railgun finally comes to GTA Online via the Gun Van
The Gun Van is a specialized Vapid Speedo that appears on the San Andreas map. This location changes every day and players will have to physically make their way to it. As described by Rockstar Newswire here’s what the Gun Van does:
“Unlike its more regulated competitor, Ammu-Nation, all items in the Gun Van are sold at discounted rates and without the formality of Rank requirements. Due to this gray-market status, the Speedo must move regularly to avoid attracting too much attention.”
This week, the following weapons are available at the Gun Van:
- Railgun
- Combat Shotgun (50% off for GTA+ members)
- Assault Shotgun
- SMG
- Assault Rifle
- Heavy Sniper
- Compact EMP Launcher (45% off for all)
- RPG
- Knife
- Baseball Bat
- Molotovs
- Proximity Mines
- Grenades
Players have until January 19 to grav what they want before a fresh set of weapons arrives next week. This week’s highlight is definitely the Railgun which has been in the game’s story mode forever.
Unavailable in the Online component until now, the Railgun is a hit-scan weapon that only needs direct line of sight to its target. The railgun currently costs $730,000 and is available for purchase regardless of rank.
