Tears of the Kingdom Kyokugon Shrine

Like every other The Legend of Zelda title, the new Tears of the Kingdom also features many locations for Link to explore. One such explorable place is the Kyokugon Shine. So, here we will find everything related to this in-game location.

Shrines are like mini-dungeons like areas in Tears of the Kingdom, which are famous for being the only location to find Light of Blessing. The latter is a crucial in-game item that helps Link to upgrade his Heart Container or Stamina Wheel. But that’s not all, as the shrines feature some challenges that help the protagonist to master his new Ultrahand ability.

Like every other shrine in the game, Kyokugon Shrine is also an important location for Link to visit. Aside from the health and stamina upgrade, the Zelda protagonist will also get a defensive enhancement. But visiting all shrines gets him the Ancient Hero’s Aspect armor that will give a +12 defense upgrade.

Link will come across 152 shrines scattered across the surface and sky of the Hyrule Kingdom. It might be challenging to find all of them, but navigating the way to the Kyokugon Shrine might be one of the easiest in Tears of the Kingdom.

This shrine is located in the Hyrule Field Region, where the silent hero must travel to the Great Plateau Foothill Cave as the shrine is near there. The exact coordinates for the Kyokugon Shrine are -0706, -1551, 0006.

How to complete this shrine challenge?

Like most other shrines in Tears of the Kingdom, Kyokugon Shrine also features a challenge called “Alignment of the Circles ” that tests Link’s abilities. The fans must complete this to get the Light of Blessing. These are the steps to pass this shrine challenge:

  • After entering the big shrine room, Link will come across ten sockets. But there are only four balls, meaning he would only need four of those sockets to complete the challenge.

  • But the challenge is which four sockets Link would need to use. He should look towards the ceiling, where he would spot four green glyphs. He would be using the sockets under those green glyphs.

  • Link needs to use his Ultrahand’s Grab ability to pick those four balls and place them in the sockets under the green glyphs. After placing the four balls into the socket, the gate will open the entrance to the sigil room.

  • In the sigil room, there is another locked gate behind which is the Treasure Chest. To open that gate, Link first needs to remove the stone tile under a green glyph to uncover another ball socket.

  • The silent hero would spot a ball in the sigil room. He then needs to use his Ultrahand’s Grab ability on that ball to put it in the socket to unlock the gate to the Treasure Chest. Then open the chest to retrieve the Hearty Elixir.

  • Finally, Link can go towards the sigil to collect the Light of Blessing, which he can later use to upgrade his stats. After collecting this in-game item, the Kyokugon Shrine’s “Alignment of the Circles ” challenge would be over.
