“I wanted many years to have N’Golo Kante”: Thomas Tuchel Croons Accolades Kante’s Way

This led to many asking ‘Why is N’Golo Kante not playing today for Chelsea vs Norwich City?’

Kante Injured

Well it seems that the French International is nursing an ankle injury.

“N’Golo Kante has got an injury he has carried all week,” Frank Lampard said yesterday– as quoted by the club’s official website.

“We are going to assess that over the next 24 hours to see if he’s fit. It’s an ankle sprain.”

Chelsea started their campaign with a 4-0 loss at Old Trafford. While they didn’t perform as bad as the scoreline suggests, they were clearly missing the bite in their game. Kante’s inclusion in the next game against Liverpool revealed just how important he was to the blues.

There was not a blade of grass in the field that the midfielder did not cover. He ran up and down tirelessly and received praise for his commitment by manager Lampard after the game.

Chelsea will hope that the team can rally in his absence and record their first win of the season and the first in Lampard’s era today.
