WWE Money in the bank 2019: Rey Mysterio wins the United States Championship for the first time in his career by beating Samoa Joe.
Rey Mysterio beat Samoa Joe under controversial circumstances. Samoa Joe dominated majority of the match. He used his size to pick on Rey. However, the Mysterio refused to go down without a fight. Samoa Joe gained control by the end and tried to lift the Luchador for a powerbomb but Mysterio countered the move into a roll up to win the match. Replays showed that Joe’s shoulders were not on the mat. But with the referee’s view obstructed, the pin fall counts.
Rey’s son Dominic came down to celebrate with his father. An Irate Joe had other plans however.
Did you really think @SamoaJoe was going to take this well?#MITB @reymysterio pic.twitter.com/uVwbYJksZQ

Joe pulled the new champion back into the ring for a brutal beatdown while Dominic screamed from outside the ring. The Samoan left the champion fallen in the ring and walked back with a smile. Guess that means this feud is not yet over.
