Big E wants to take on Brock Lesnar in singles action

Big E wants to take on Brock Lesnar in singles action. The New Day member is all set to embark on a singles run following injuries to Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.

Despite being the 2nd NXT Champion and an Intercontinental Champion early in his main roster career, Big E is mostly associated with Tag team wrestling due to the massive success he has had with the New Day in the tag team division.

Injuries to Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods has however, given him another shot at a singles career. He has a minimum of six weeks to prove himself with former WWE Champion Kingston set to sit out for the aforementioned duration. However, it seems that Big E already has high ambitions.

Big E was a guest on “Table Talk” where he spoke on a lot of topics including whether the length of the reign or the number of titles was more important.

“You don’t want to win the title and lose it the next day. You want to hold on to it as long as possible.” Big E said. “So the number of reigns is cool. I think people get caught up in that… If I held a title for 20 days and I had like 10 titles, that’s not that impressive. But if I held it for 90 days, which actually I think today is our 900th day of being tag champs, that’s pretty impressive.”

When asked who his dream opponents were, he named Undisputed Era for tag team matches and Brock Lesnar for a singles clash.

“I would like to do a full program with the Undisputed Era with some build or whatnot would have been fun.” Big E said. “We have done some stuff with Brock. I haven’t had an official match with Brock, but it forced to pick one, maybe Brock. Let’s say, Brock.”

He picked the Uso’s as his favourite opponents to face.

“We just have really good chemistry with them in the ring, outside the ring. We see the business the same way – we’re selfless,” Big E explained. “It’s so easy to put the matches together.”

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
