They opened the pay per view tonight against Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon. Both teams fought an exciting match but, in the end, it was the heel team that took the honors and with it, the opportunity to face Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler for the Women’s Tag Team Championships.

Jax and Baszler, who are currently on their second reign, already have opponents assigned to them though. Lana and Naomi recently won a number one contenders match to earn a title shot although at this point it isn’t clear when.

it will be interesting to see who faces Jax and Baszler first or could they settle this out at Wrestlemania?

Upon its launch, the WWE claimed that all three brands would be in contention for the Women’s tag team Championship. So far however, the title has only exchanged hands between RAW and SmackDown. No side from NXT has even got a sniff of the belt and Kai and Gonzalez have more than a fighting chance to create history once again.

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
