Randy Savage

Is WWE’s infamous Stephanie McMahon and Randy Savage relationship urban legend true? Was it the reason why Macho Man split from the company? Let’s examine the facts.

While WWE is full of iconic moments on TV, there is another side to wrestling that was hidden from the fans and the mainstream media until it trickled out due to the cracks in the Savage-McMahon relationship. There seems to be a hush-hush on some inexplicable rumors and mysteries that were left best unspoken.

One of the biggest and most disturbing rumors was the relationship between Macho Man Randy Savage and The Boss’s Daughter Stephanie McMahon. Both have been entangled in an inextricable rumor that they had an affair when Stephanie was 16.

There’s a lot that makes this a hot topic given the disparity in their age. Some sources even say that Randy Savage had his way with the Billion Dollar Princess. Although it is all hearsay until its proven, there have been circumstances that implicitly prove that it may be true.

Firstly, the rumors cannot be construed as the truth as there isn’t enough evidence that proves the veracity of the situation.

Secondly, while the tensions between Vince McMahon and Randy Savage are enough to presume that it is close to the truth, no one has ever confirmed the rumor outright.

The rumor erupted in 2004 that they had an affair in 1994 when Savage left the company and never looked back. During the early 90’s savage’s role in the WWE was of a color commentator as Vince believed that he had nothing more to offer in the ring.

On the contrary, Savage believed that he could still help the younger rising stars like Shawn Micheals get over. Disappointed by Vince, Randy then jumped ship to WCW without notice. This is where he crossed the boss. This is one aspect of the story that is known. Another aspect is that Savage only left as soon as Vince McMahon learned of Savage’s relationship with Stephanie.

Savage’s ex-girlfriend revealed something that stirred the world of wrestling

Macho Man’s ex-girlfriend(Stephanie Bellar) later revealed that Randy spoke about Stephanie McMahon inadvertently to her during a “drug trip”. “Oh, he told me. He told me one day when we were on Ecstacy on the beach. I think he didn’t mean to tell me that and then the next morning he goes, ‘Did I tell you anything last night on the beach?’ I’m like, ‘You sure did.’ He knew exactly what he said and he was like ‘sh*t’ because it was kind of like the truth drug. Once he got on that he just started telling me everything. It is what it is. She knows [and] he knows what it all was.”

According to Bellar, Randy had a proclivity for younger girls as he had once fantasized about having a three-way with Bellar and her sister.

The heat between Randy Savage and Vince McMahon

Bob Holly in his autobiography “The Hardcore Truth” said that Vince McMahon is first a businessman. He likes to put his differences aside and work with people he doesn’t like if it is what’s best for business. However, following the demise of WCW, a lot of WCW guys were brought over to the WWE, except for Savage.

Moreover, Savage wasn’t inducted into the Hall of Fame for a long time because Vince didn’t approve. Was Vince upset over Savage dropping the ball on WWF for WCW or was it the infamous rumor? You do the math.

The heat between Randy Savage and Triple H

During an interview with a magazine, Triple H was asked his opinion of Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage to which The Game said, “They are great but they are dinosaurs”

While the Hulkster did not mind being called a dinosaur, Triple H’s comments ticked off Randy Savage. He then responded to Triple H online in a video where he said that he would slap Triple H around and steal his girlfriend.

Stephanie McMahon has never addressed the rumor directly. Randy Davage passed away in 2011 in Seminole, Florida. He was posthumously inducted into the Hall of Fame in the class of 2015.
