Edge came out tonight with some choice words for Rollins. Rollins then appeared on the screen via sattelite and interrupted the Rated R Superstar. Edge challenged Rollins but the former Universal Champion responded by saying he needed time to mull things over because of how busy he is.

However, as their conversation went on, their exchanges became more person leading to Rollins angrily accepting the challenge.

Edge vs Seth Rollins announced for SummerSlam

This match has been built as seven years in the making. This is in reference to the time when Rollins held Edge hostage to force John Cena into reinstating the Authority. Rollins threatened to break Edge’s neck if Cena refused to do so. Because of this many believed that if Edge ever recovered from his neck issues, he should seek to fight Rollins.

Rollins, who had been looking for a Universal Championship match against Roman Reigns felt wronged after that spot was given to Edge, despite being away from WWE television for weeks post Wrestlemania. Rollins then took matters in his hands and interfered in their main-event match.

He attacked Edge and helped Reigns get the win over Edge. Combined with what happened between them seven years ago, Edge has since been manically looking to fight Rollins and will now have the chance to do so in an official match at SummerSlam.

SummerSlam 2021 will take place on August 21, 2021, at Allegiant Stadium in the Las Vegas suburb of Paradise, Nevada. It will be the 34th event under the SummerSlam chronology. It will also be the first to take place on a Saturday since the 1992 event; although it will be the first to air live on a Saturday.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
