John Cena comments on WWE return at SummerSlam. The 16-time World Champion is rumored to be in the main event of the biggest party of the summer.
John Cena’s last WWE appearance was at Wrestlemania 36. He fought Bray Wyatt in a Firefly Funhouse match and has not returned to the WWE since. The Cenation leader even missed out on Wrestlemania this year. However, if reports are true, the 16-time World Champion will return in time to face Roman Reigns at SummerSlam.
The reports claim that Cena and Reigns will go head to head in the main event of SummerSlam for the WWE Universal Championship. There has been no confirmation from the WWE so far. Cena however, has finally spoken about his possible appearance.
John Cena comments on WWE return at SummerSlam
John Cena recently spoke with Tara Hitchcock to help promote the upcoming F9: The Fast Saga film, which releases on June 25. Hitchcock asked Cena what he was doing on August 21 — the date for SummerSlam. Cena casually answered that he would be enjoying the summer.
Hitchcock then asked if he would be enjoying in Las Vegas (the site of SummerSlam). Cena pretended to be confused and asked what was in Vegas. When asked about SummerSlam direcetly, Cena laughed and gave her props for the manner in which she posed the question.

Cena then added that there was a lot on his plate and he doesn’t want to raise any expectations and fail to fulfil them.
Cena and Reigns have faced each other before. This time however, the dynamics will be vastly different. Cena and Reigns broke the 4th wall at made their feud personal while still maintaining their alignments as faces. This time Reigns is a full blown heel and on top of his promo game. It will be interesting to see how they square up this time (If they do).
