WWE Hall of Famer believes Ric Flair is looking for one last in-ring run

WWE Hall of Famer believes Ric Flair is looking for one last in-ring run. The 16-time World Champion recently parted ways with the WWE.

Ric Flair is considered one of the greatest wrestlers by many of his peers and several wrestlers who have come in the generations after. The 72 year old has achieved almost everything there is to achieve in the world of wrestling throught his illustrious career.

However, Booker T thinks that the Nature Boy is itching for one last return inside the squared circle. In fact, he is of the opinion that Flair’s recent WWE release may have something to do with it. The WWE Hall of Famer discussed this on the latest episode of his Hall of Fame podcast.

“My thing is this, and I’m going to let you take this into the break, Ric Flair is not the managerial type of guy. It’s just not his role. As well as, Ric Flair is not one of your guys that wants to be in the office, coming to work every day, wearing a suit and going into the office. That’s not Ric Flair. Ric Flair’s a party guy. That’s just his nature. You saw him on Triller, he’s all about having some fun.”

“Now my thing is this, I talk to Ric Flair on a regular — usually on a regular occasion. I don’t know how often I’m going to see him now, but Ric Flair told me, he said, ‘Book, I’m never going to retire.’ He said, ‘If I could be in that ring right now, that’s where I’d be.’ So I think Ric Flair may be looking at one last run.”

Ric Flair was recently released from the WWE after reportedly asking for it. Reports add that his displeasure with the promotion stemmed from the booking of his daughter Charlotte Flair.

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
