Vince McMahon has reportedly taken a liking to Adam Cole on a personal level
According to Fightful Select, Cole was taken directly to Vince McMahon’s office a couple of hours before SmackDown. The meeting was reportedly a “high priority” to Vince. By the end of it, it appears that the former NXT Champion managed to impress the WWE Chairman.
“Fightful learned that a couple of hours before Smackdown, Cole was taken directly to Vince McMahon’s office, in something that was said to have appeared a “high priority” to McMahon himself. Those high up in WWE said that they heard the meeting went well, and Vince McMahon seemed to have taken a liking to Adam Cole on a personal level.
“Fightful has been informed there have been pitches for Cole on both Raw and Smackdown over the last week if he were to re-sign, with WWE sources telling us that it was communicated to Cole that he is wanted on the main roster.”
The report also added that the original plan was for Adam Cole to be brought in at the SmackDown show in Minnesota. However, they switched it to last night for logistical reasons.
The ball is now in Cole’s court. Only time will tell if he chooses to stick with the WWE or go to AEW.
