‘It’s All So Fuing Wonderful’ – John Cena on the polarizing reaction he gets from fans

‘It’s All So Fu**ing Wonderful’ – John Cena on the polarizing reaction he gets from fans. The face of WWE is as hated as he is loved and he seems to have embraced it.

John Cena is one of the biggest stars to have ever come out of the WWE. For a majority of the 2000’s and about half of the 2010’s, he has been one of if not the most prominently featured superstar in the company in and outside of the ring.

This has made him a globally recognized fans even among those who do not watch wrestling. However, well known doesn’t always equate to well liked. Cena had his own fair share of detractors during his run as the top guy in the WWE.

He always received the loudest cheers from the crowd but he would also receive just as many boos by fans who couldn’t stand his character. The face that runs the place opened up on the crowd reactions in the the latest edition of WWE Untold.

In the episode titled “The Champ is HeRe,” Cena spoke about his feud with Edge all the way back in 2006. That was when Cena had just begun receiving boos from the fans and his match against RVD at ECW One Night Stand saw them go all out at him.

“Every time you see me come out, it’s like I’m shot out of a cannon,” Cena said. :It’s because I’m ready, I’m ready to go, and that’s whether you’re telling me I suck or whether you’re telling me that I’m great. It’s why I orchestrate you to continue to make noise because as a performer, this makes me feel 10-feet tall. Just audible reaction.”

“I love it when a group of people has so much energy that it’s viscerally negative towards me,” he continued. “I also love it when the energy is so overwhelmingly positive, it does lift you up. It’s like it’s all so fu**ing wonderful.”

Cena was last seen on WWE TV at this year’s wrestlemania. He wrestled Bray Wyatt in a Firefly Fun House match. The psychological warfare saw Wyatt bring up several elements of Cena’s past and use it against him and mentally disintegrate him until he ceased to exist within the WWE universe.

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
