John Cena touted to make WWE return at Wrestlemania 37

John Cena touted to make WWE return at Wrestlemania 37. The veteran wrestler recently claimed that it was mathematically impossible for him to attend Mania this year.

John Cena has been a regular at Wrestlemania since 2004 when he beat Big Show for the US Title. A Wrestlemania card seems incomplete without his name on it. However, it appears that that may very well happen this year.

John Cena recently spoke about his chances of appearing at Wrestlemania 37 and he wasn’t very optimistic about it. However, WWE commentator Corey Graves believes that he is working the crowd just as Edge did last year before the Royal Rumble.

“Let me answer this as eloquently as I possibly can,” Graves said on the After The Bell podcast. “Hell no, I don’t buy it because it should be John Cena at WrestleMania in some capacity.

“There’s a lot of truth to what he’s saying. It makes sense, I understand it, but there’s also a guy who as recently I believe the day of the Royal Rumble last year… told everybody he’s not coming back under any circumstances. Edge, yeah, the guy who just won the Royal Rumble, did the same thing, man. It’s throwing people off the trail.”

Like Corey Graves has said, there is a very good chance that Cena is indeed telling the truth but the probability of him working the crowd cannot be ruled out. After all, this is the same guy who returned at the 2008 Royal Rumble after being sidelined with an injury for much longer than he eventually did.

Regardless of whether he does attend Wrestlemania 37 or not, fans will hope to see him have one last proper run in the WWE and capture the World Championship for a record 17th time in the WWE. Maybe one last reign with the WWE Championship, a title he’s held more times than any other or maybe a rematch with Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship; a title he has never held before.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
