According to reports John Cena’s contract with WWE has expired. There has been no news of the 16-time world champion, since Wrestlemania 36 (April 2020).
In his long illustrious career at WWE, John Cena has achieved whatever was there on the plate. The superstar who was for so long the talisman of the company, has been largely inconsistent in recent years “In making his way to the ring”. Further, It has become a norm for the WWE universe to see him infrequently. Cena was last seen in the Wrestlemania 36 pay-per-view event of 2020, where he apparently but not evidently lost to “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt. However, his status in Hollywood is totally different, where he is becoming more familiar with each passing day.

John Cena’s Comeback Probability
There is no doubt that John Cena is arguably the greatest WWE Superstar of all time, and in Michael Cole’s estimation, the greatest ever. The fact that Cena in the past has single handedly uplifted the popularity of the company, only justifies such statements. John Cena is still one of the top if not the top merchandise seller.
Since, Cena’s departure WWE has only seen a slump in ratings, which gives a fair impression of John Cena’s stature in the WWE, and also highlights the biggest reason why the company won’t let him go.
