“Maybe in 10 years once he learns how to wrestle”- WWE Superstar reveals his opinion of Roman Reigns has changed

John Morrison returned to the WWE in 2019, 8 years after his departure in 2011. In a recent interview with Gamespot, he mentioned a few wrestlers he would like to wrestle which also included Roman Reigns.

Within the same interview Morrison admitted that he was one of Reigns’ critics early in his career but has since changed his mind after witnessing his impressive body of work.

“Someone asked me if I wanted to wrestle [Reigns],” said Morrison. “I said, ‘Yeah, I’d love to wrestle that guy. Maybe in 10 years once he learns how to wrestle.’ And they screen capped that with a really jerky picture of me smiling. And I stand by that then, but I’ve been in the ring with him once now, right down to seeing the caliber of matches that he’s capable of now. That’s another example of a guy who has really come into his own.”

Morrison is scheduled to face Braun Strowman alongside the Miz in a handicap match at Backlash for the Universal Championship. Backlash will take place on Sunday, June 14 at the Performance Center.

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
