Dave Meltzer noted on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Seth Rollins’ return was hinted a couple of weeks ago. Since that hasn’t happened though, he has speculated that the Friday Night Saviour may eventually return at the Rumble itself.

“Fewer spots are announced than ever before, leading to expectation of surprises,” Meltzer wrote. “One would expect Seth Rollins to return, since he was supposed to weeks ago and suddenly that changed without explanation.”

Seth Rollins has been out of the WWE since sacrificing himself at Survivor Series last year. He took a break to be with his fiancé Becky Lynch and celebrate the birth of their child. The couple welcomed their baby last month and it seems that the Messiah is now gearing towards a comeback.

Rollins was drafted to SmackDown last year. He became a regular on the Blue Brand for the first time in his career having spent all of his career on RAW since the brand split back in 2016. However, he took a break before we could see his character properly utilised on Friday Nights.

It will be interesting to see how SmackDown uses him and what his direction will be heading towards Wrestlemania now that he’s seemingly done with Murphy and the Mysterio family.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
