Roman Reigns vs Kevin Owens made official for the Universal Championship at WWE TLC. The two will face each other in a TLC match.
Back in 2016, when Kevin Owens was the Universal Champion, he faced Roman Reigns at almost every episode until 2017 Royal Rumble. The Tribal Chief was a heroic face then and Owens, a cowardly heel. The roles have reversed now. However, with Reigns stock at an all time high, many believed this was going to be a mismatch of epic proportions.

Kevin Owens has had very little creative direction in the last few months. However, when called upon, the former Universal Champion reminded everyone why the WWE holds him in such high regard. In just one promo, Owens managed to excite the Universe for a match they’ve seen several times before.

Owens called out Reigns last week and mocked his claims of being the head of the table while the Universal Champion stared on at the television. Owens opened this week’s episode of SmackDown by laying a challenge to the Tribal Chief.
He wanted to face the Universal Champion for his title at TLC in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match. Reigns feigned care for Kayla Braxton, who was there as an interviewer, in case things got out of hand and left the ring laughing at Owens.
Owens, who was still fuming then took the mic and proceeded to insult the champion in an attempt to cox him into a match. Reigns, who looked miffed, managed to compose himself before leaving,
While there was no confirmation from the champion himself. The WWE soon announced the match on Twitter.
Reigns will take on Owens tonight in a tag team match. He will have Jey Uso by his side while Otis fights along Owens.
