Sasha Banks hits out at Booker T for Bayley criticism

Sasha Banks hasn’t taken kindly to comments made by WWE legend Booker T about her tag team partner Bayley and has taken a shot at him on her social media.

On his podcast, The Hall of Fame with Booker T & Brad Gilmore, Booker T praised Sasha Banks but reserved criticism for Bayley. Despite crossing all the boxes to be a wrestler, he did not see her on par with her tag team partner. Although he did admit liking her heel run.

“Sasha is a major player.’ Booker T said. “She is one talent on the roster that you can always be able to go to and then know that she’s always going to deliver, especially in a big match.’

“ Bayley is the quintessential worker. She can go out there and she may not be great at anything but she’s good at everything. So when I watch Bayley go out and perform now, taking on this new persona, which is something that I couldn’t wait [to see happen,]’

“I think it’s good for her, as well as we’re in this era again, this pandemic era. Everything right now is kind of like on hold in like a holding pattern and for those two to be in a position, in a holding pattern is perfect.”

Sasha Banks stood up for her partner on social media claiming she and Bayley were better than Harlem Heat.

Banks and Bayley have been calling themselves the greatest tag team and have called out other notable teams such as FTR, The Kabuki Warriors, WWE Hall of Famers Rock ‘N’ Roll Express among others. The timing on this tweet however, suggests that this was a light hearted response to Booker-T’s comments.

Bayley is set to defend her SmackDown women’s championship against number 1 contender Nikki Cross at WWE Extreme Rules. Sasha Banks on the other hand, is scheduled to have an Interbrand match against Asuka for the Raw Women’s championship.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
