Sasha Banks loses yet another title defence as Asuka becomes WWE RAW women’s champion at SummerSlam. The Boss is yet to win a match as Champion.

Sasha Banks is one of the most well known wrestler in the company. She is also one of the best performers regardless of gender or division. Her record as a single champion in the WWE however, is not one she will be proud of.

The Boss has won the top title on WWE RAW a record 5 times. However, she is yet to register a single successful defence. The odds seemed to be in her favour this time. She was scheduled to face Asuka who would have to face Bayley on the same night first. However, she came out short once again.

Asuka entered the ring with a limp to sell her injury from the match before. This gave Banks a target to focus on. She attacked her leg right out of the gate but Asuka got a hold of her and dominated the champion. Banks attempted to walk away but Asuka pulled her back whereupon she hit her challenger with a sliding kick.

Both wrestlers locked each other multiple times in their submission manoeuvres. Bayley gave her partner a pep talk outside the ring but that did not help at as she almost got caught in the Asuka lock once again before she freed herself.

Earlier in the night, Banks took a hip attack from Asuka for Bayley’s sake. During this match however, Bayley refused to get in harms way. Banks tried to get in the Banks Statement but Asuka reversed it into an Asuka lock in the middle of the ring to submit Sasha Banks for the WWE RAW Women’s title.

Truth be told, Banks fate was sealed when Bayley won her match. In spite of her pitiful record as a Champion however, this was an amazing match. Asuka and Banks work very well with each other and tonight was no different. Moreover, the seeds of dissension between the Golden Role Models were sowed today.

It seems but a matter of time before Banks dethrones Bayley and wins her maiden WWE SmackDown Women’s title. Maybe then she can finally have a worthy reign.
