SummerSlam title match and more announced on WWE RAW

SummerSlam title match and more announced on tonight’s episode of WWE RAW. SummerSlam 2021 will take place this Saturday.

The biggest party of the summer is near and more matches have been added to the card. Tonight’s SummerSlam go-home edition of WWE RAW saw a bunch of matches announced making the pay per view event even bigger after this week’s episode.

AJ Styles took on Matt Riddle earlier in the night and came out on top. Orton later faced Omos and won by DQ due to an attack from Styles. Styles and Omos then double teamed Orton who was saved by Riddle. The Viper declared that Riddle had earned his respect.

Riddle then announced his intentions to challenge AJ and Omos at SummerSlam, and the match was later confirmed by the RAW announcers.

The WWE also confirmed a match between Eva Marie and Alexa Bliss. The two have been feuding for quite some time now. Eva Marie, tired of Bliss’ shenanigans, vowed to take care of Bliss at SummerSlam. Bliss herself, promised to put an end to the Eva-Lution at the pay-per-view.

There was also a development in the SummerSlam match between Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre. McIntyre faced Veer and Shanky in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match tonight. If McIntyre lost, he would have been banned from bringing his sword, Angela, to the ring at SummerSlam.

Conversely, if Veer and Shanky lost they would have been banned from ringside for Mahal.

Fortunately for the Scottish Warrior, he came out on top to gain the advantage heading into his match with his former friend.

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
