Team Blackheart and Team Candice fought their hearts out in a barbaric match that saw violence drop like water out of a faucet. In the end it was Team Candice that managed to come through with a win after Raquel Gonzalez powerbombed Io Shirai through a ladder for the pin.

This was a very well put together match. The baby faces held the rare one woman advantage going into the match. However, when Shirai ran into the ring to make it 4-3 for her side, she was constantly attacked and kept away from the cage.

She was later knocked out by Indi Hartwell as Candice LeRae made her way into the ring to give the heels an advantage. Their dominance however, came to an end after Shirai finally made her way into the ring by jumping from the cage with a thrash can onto everyone inside.

There were many spots that had the audience at the edge of their seats. Dakota Kai hitting Shirai with a double stomp or Ember Moon landing an eclipse onto Gonzalez through the chairs come to mind immediately.

In the end, Team Candice picked up the win courtesy Gonzalez; who as Wade Barrett said, has elevated from an insurance policy to a genuine threat in the women’s division.

While it seems that the babyfaces should have come out on top, the win helps give the heels some credibility; some who need it much more than the faces in the match. All in all, it was an amazing match from start to finish and perfectly sets up the event.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
