Peyton Royce opens up on what really happened during her infamous creative meeting with Vince McMahon. The former WWE Star cleared the air on some misconceptions.

There were reports last year that Peyton Royce was going to be pushed as a singles star. That seemed to be the case when the IIconics were broken up. However, there was no upward movement for her. Instead, Peyton Royce was teamed up with Lacey Evans in a storyline that ultimately went nowhere.

Following her WWE release, she revealed that she and Vince McMahon had a creative meeting where the WWE chairman brushed off her idea and caught her off guard with no other idea up her sleeve. “The freaking dirt sheets! ‘Peyton lost her job because she didn’t know what to say to Vince… blah blah blah.’ That’s not the case, dummies! I just went in there with what I wanted to present, and we just moved on from it so quickly.

“In my head I was thinking, how can I steer this conversation back to that? I really thought something was there and I hadn’t explained it properly. I sat in that room with him and Bruce [Prichard] for 45 minutes tossing up ideas.”

She also revealed that they came up with a motivational speaker gimmick that unfortunately never came to fruition.

“At one point we had come up with the idea that I was going to be a motivational person, a motivational speaker. Vince loved how much I had sacrificed to be there. I didn’t want anything else in my life other than to work for him.

“He loved that and was so thankful for what I had sacrificed, my family, everything in Australia, my whole life. So that’s what we had come up with and obviously nothing ever came of it. But that conversation wasn’t a complete dud. From my perspective it was this is what I want to present and move forward with.”

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
