Sasha Banks confirms her appearance in ‘The Mandalorian was a one-off

Sasha Banks confirms her appearance in ‘The Mandalorian was a one-off. She appeared as Koska Reeves, following the lead of Katee Sackhoff’s Bo-Katan.

2020 has been the year of Sasha Banks. The Boss became the SmackDown women’s champion for the first time in her career. With that title win, she became only the third Women’s Grand Slam Champion in the WWE after Bayley and Asuka.

She also finally successfully defended her single’s title on the main roster. Before that, she also snapped her Hell in a cell losing streak with her win against Bayley. The Boss also pinned Asuka clean for the very first time last Sunday at Survivor’s Series.

To cap it all off, she also appeared on the hugely successful show ‘The Mandalorian’ as Koska Reeves, In a recent interview with Comicbook.com she revealed what it was like to live a triple life. She also seems to have revealed that her first appearance on the show is perhaps the last we’ve seen of her, at least in this season.

“Well, I can only hope that the fans get to know more, I’m only in this episode,” Banks revealed. “It’s awesome but we can only hopee for more stuff. So, if I can pray and manifest anything, I just hope myself and Katee, Bo-Katan, can hopefully get the Darksaber one day. But we’ll have to see, I don’t know.”

Banks claimed that she wanted to bring a bit of the Boss in Koska Reeves and hoped to see her return next season.

“I would say they have almost the same kind of attitude and just the presence of knowing of who’s in control and holding her stand to be present, holding her power,” she said. “I feel like that’s what I try to bring to Koska, I wanted to have a little bit of a legit Boss essence. But hopefully, we can discover more in season three.”

“It was a triple life, okay?”

She also revealed that she couldn’t tell anyone about working on the show. She would leave to work on her role early in the morning and would go straight to the WWE from there.

“It honestly never set in,” she said. “Every time I went to set, because I went straight from WWE from live national television. I would have to wake up at 5:00 in the morning, catch a flight and go straight to the trailer. And they’re like, “Why do you have glitter all over your face?” And I’m like, “I’m sorry. I’ve been Sasha Banks.”

“I would walk on set and I just be like, “Oh my god, I can not believe that I’m here,” because the set was just so, so, so incredible. I literally felt that I was in a whole different galaxy, in a whole different world, I have no idea how they did that. Whoever made that set, wow! Wow, wow, wow! It’s so breathtaking. And the whole time I was there, honestly, it never set in because I went from that straight back to WWE and I couldn’t tell anybody.

“So, I just kind of always had to live in the moment and be present in everything that I was doing. So I was just like, all right, eventually, when I’m able to talk about it, I think that’s when it will probably set in that I’m part of something really, really cool and special.

When asked what it was like living a double life she jokingly said “It was a triple life, okay?”

Swerve or spoiler?

Wrestlers are known for being very secretive with plans regarding their futures in the business. They only speak about an angle after it is done. So, there is a chance that her comments on her future in the show is possibly a swerve. If it isn’t however, the fans will hope they do get to see her once again in the next season.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
